ILLINOIS CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES ACT, CANNABIS CONTROL ACT and the METHAMPHETAMINE CONTROL AND COMMUNITY PROTECTION ACT
In Illinois, the Classification Levels of Drug related offenses are determined by the amount of substance possessed, delivered, or possessed with the intent to deliver and in some instances whether the offenses occur on, or within a certain distance from a “protected” location.
Drug Related offenses may range from “non-probationable” Class X felonies with extended prison sentences that apply to Class 4 Felonies where the option of First Offender Probation or Drug Court may be applicable.
